Runaway

Word Count: 399 I had the craziest dream last night. I was dancing the White Swan. I don't even know how to dance, but everything just seemed so elegant. I was alone in a dark empty room that seemed endless. I was watching myself from afar, separated from my body and mind. There was a spotlight following me wherever I went but there was no source to this light. Was this even me? This person felt so foreign, so elegant, but was unmistakingly in my body. I had the feeling of being watched but the darkness of the room stretched on forever. Everything was silent; no music was playing and even the footsteps were inaudible. It's been a busy week and I'm just a little tired from all the flights." The truth is he feels the most alive and free when he's flying but doesn't have the heart to tell her. He's been keeping this a secret ever since he got his pilot license, but ...

Word Count: 595 There seems to be distress in the other boat as a woman seems to be falling off the boat and a man is trying to help her up. Light shines on the boat of the two men hanging off the boat as they stare at the barrel in the water. They seem to be trying to grab the barrels and help the people in the other boat. They are clearly confident and experts of their boat as they lean horizontally out of the boat while the other side of their boat gets hit by a wave. The dark clouds part to give way to sunlight; a storm has passed and soon all will be calm. The other boat carrying goods, but isn't large enough to be traversing storms in the middle of the ocean. This means they are most likely close to the shore; the faint outline in the background being their destination or origin. Birds are scavenging the fallen supplies, another indication that they may be close to land. The couple in the small boat may have been desperate because who would risk traversing a storm in a b...
